Pucsinwah

Pucsinwah(Poo-shin-wah) was named in honor of a great Shawnee War Chief whose name meant "Hard Striker." Pucsinwah led the Shawnee to many victories, and was the personal bodyguard of the famous Cherokee Indian Sequoyah. Pucsinwah was killed in the Battle of Point Pleasant. His son Tecumseh is remembered for his attempt to unite all of the tribes into a confederacy to challenge the then 17 United States with equal power. This dream died, along with the alliance, with their defeat at the Battle of Tippecanoe.

"Puc" as a newborn with his dam Little Star Sparkling
Born an unusual shade of creamy gray, "Puc" matured to a beautiful blue corn color (blue roan) not unlike that of his grand dam Little Thing. He is pictured above with dam, Little Star Sparkling, a pure Bookcliff mare sired by Tiger Eye and out of Little Thing. Puc's sire, our East/West cross stallion, Dancin' Hawk was out of Etta Place, a Cochise daughter. Hawk's sire was the pure Banker stallion S.O.S.
