Farm History
Our partnership with Colonial Spanish Horse's began in 1972 with the purchase of two SMR geldings from Pete Hansen of Arizona. We named the 1/2 brothers Night Walker and Storm Cloud.
We had been searching for horses like those Tom had owned while living in Arizona in the 1950's.
In 1983 we purchased a weanling colt from the Cayuse Ranch for our son Doug, whom he named Dancin' Hawk. "Hawk" later became the foundation stallion of our breeding program.
We added mares 2 mares, Little Star Sparkling and Wo-Ista, from Sharron Schiekofsky of Caballos de Destinos.
Our breeding program has evolved from there.
Weve been involved with Colonial Spanish Horses for over 30 years now.
We are actively involved with the Horse of the Americas, with Tom being one of the incorporators.
Tom currently serves as President, Della is Treasurer, and Doug is the Banker strain representative.
